i sent the bday gift i got 6 mos ago lol

so I started no contact and the crazy thing is I started it the day after I ran into him w friends……we have mutual friends…….and not sure if he “pre-arranged” it as I was the one who was unhappy w the “level of commitment ” and was pulling away…….but we were in touch because I had helped him w a situation nothing to do w relationship…….anyway…………because I told him I was going to a movie w out him when he asked to hang out and could I take a raincheck(he never gave raincheck…..and said he doesn’t like movies……..didn’t want to “sit for two hours”???? I said “done” in my head cause it was always about him…..so it seemed …….anyway……after only one day of no contact I just mailed the gift cause there is a 20 min distance between us and we never arranged to give it………..when I bumped into him I told him I wanted to get it “out f my car” lol so I mailed it because he left w out evn saying goodbye(yes…..true) he did “hug” me though….a very “sweet and warm hug” and said thanks for helping him w the “situation” that had nothing to do w relationship.
next day texts “where did you go after I left etc”…….I didn’t reply……next day thanked me w a smile for gift……..said he loved it……….now what do I do? do I not reply re: gift? do I reply and start again? does mailing an old gift count as contact??? also he never called me a “boyfriend”….but he was like one……does this still count in 30 day process??? thanks so much…….also advice on what to say in first text after 30 days……my bday is right at that point,….so I know he will prob text……..I read what to do, but I guess just want more ideas……I guess I need to apologize for just wanting things not ready for and not accepting him as he wants to be…….”a free agent” but he did express love and we like many of the same things and have a great time when we are together for the most part……….I also left him one day in a bar cause he said he didn’t want me to hug him? he walked out cause I flirted w others in front of him cause he knew I was upset…..lol but it was def rebound !!!! I could not stop thinking of him…..talk about
“backfiring”!!!!!!shot myself in foot w that one:) btw…ive been working on myself have lost some weight and I think he did notice when we bumped…..but I have much more to go till I’m happy w my body again……..he always encouraged me….saying”you have such a gorgeous face…if you got in shape again it would be great:) we both look young for our ages too….just another similarity so thanks in advance if you can help……..do I need to start over because of gift/mailing? do I say “y w” for his text thanking me? do I NEED to text back……I would rather do nothing at this point will he be upset? should I care? haha
