Here is a bit of background: My bf and I have been together for 12 yrs, and are pretty much broken up at this point. Everything seemed fine until about 3 wks ago he lied and said he was working but went to the bar. When he came home he was acting weird and the next night he tells me he loves me but is not sure if he’s in love with me anymore. Then he says he doesn’t want to break up but he might have feelings for someone else… I get that this is not okay, but we have 2 small kids and own a house how do I go about the no contact rule? If anything we have children and have to keep in some type of contact for them not to mention we live together and I can’t just uproot my kids 4 a month. I just don’t know how to go about this in a healthy way.

@Angie2830 – After 12 years, the passion is not as intense as it was as in the beginning. If you don’t know about the stages of love / relationship, it might help to Google it and read the information.

Act kind and respectful, especially in front of the children. Ask your boyfriend if he would be willing to attend couples counseling.

Thank you Patricia: He’s pretty much stonewalling me except when he feels like it. I just seems like everything is going on his terms. I will look up stages of love/relationship.
